Southbridge Business Partnership

Southbridge High School is excited to host a Financial Literacy Event on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 1:00–2:15 PM in the SHS Gym. This interactive experience, sponsored by Cornerstone Bank and Credit for Life, will give students a hands-on opportunity to explore money management, budgeting, and financial decision-making in real-life scenarios.

During the event, students will:

• Select a career path and receive a corresponding salary

• Open a virtual savings account and receive a credit score

• Make choices about budgeting for housing, utilities, health and wellness, food, and more

Volunteer Opportunities

We are seeking 12 volunteers from local banking institutions and community partners to run “CheckPoint” stations at the event. These stations cover areas like:

• Housing

• Utilities

• Health & Wellness

• Food & Nutrition

No preparation is required, just a brief planning meeting with the high school team to explain your role. Your participation will provide students with real-world guidance and support as they learn to manage their finances.
